A Chain Reaction: Nuclear Weapons, Policy and People, Lt. Gen. Robert Gard (Ret.), and Ira Helfand, M.D., will discuss the history of U.S. nuclear weapons policy and current controversies surrounding nuclear weapons, and will talk about the potential humanitarian and environmental effects of a limited, regional nuclear war.
The presentation will take place in the Graham Memorial Chapel on Friday, Sept.19, at 11 a.m.

The Mortgage Crisis in the U.S., Where Do We Go From Here? Peter J. deSilva, president and COO for UMB Financial Corp, and chairman of UMB Fund Services, will be the featured lecturer. The lecture, on Monday, Sept. 29, at 4 p.m. in the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the Parkville Campus, is part of the School of Business & Management Dean's Distinguished Executive Lecture Series.
